Scanned items can even be automatically associated to the correct supplier PO via CATAPULT's Auto-Default ™ system. You simply scan the items you want to order, or review and accept a suggested order generated through CATAPULT Order Assist™, and CATAPULT intelligently places the items into the correct vendor-specific Purchase Order. This functionality allows you to scan by department or aisle instead of by supplier. From this point, the order can be sent electronically through ECRS Gateway with the click of a button. This works for both EDI distributors and non-EDI (Fax/Email) directs. It is complete inventory automation in the palm of your hand.

mobileCAT is much more than a hand held ordering device. Prices can be updated on the mobile terminal and automatically pushed to the network server and all connected POS terminals and back office workstations. Inventory adjustments are also quick and easy using mobileCAT. Produce spoilage, broken items, or store use items can be removed from inventory in a matter of seconds and accurately accounted for in your store or HQ database. So, instead of remembering to remove that jar of spaghetti sauce broken on aisle six whenever you happen to make it to the back office, you can do it before leaving the floor. This ease-of-use and real-time accountability will help maintain accurate inventory counts across your enterprise.

Mobile Loss Prevention

By scanning zero-stock items, you can quickly detect theft, vendor errors, or employee mistakes. If an item is out of stock, simply scan the item shelf label and CATAPULT displays what your current stock levels should be with real-time accuracy. Maybe the item was simply left in the back and not placed on the shelf, the vendor could have shipped the wrong quantity, or perhaps there is a shoplifting issue. mobileCAT is your ally when it comes to loss prevention, allowing you to focus in on problem areas, and preventing profit-draining out-of-stock situations. After all, if a product isn't on the shelf, your customers can't purchase it, creating potential opportunities for your competitors.

Direct Store Delivery

How much are inaccuracies with Direct Store Deliveries (DSD) costing your business? With mobileCAT, you can quickly scan all delivered product and print your own worksheet with item quantities and costs to compare with the DSD invoice. This gives you leverage in the event of discrepancies and lets you take back control of your inventory. New items can also be added to the CATAPULT database straight from the HHT. This enables you to easily manage new products and ensure the products are in the system and ready to be scanned upon purchase. This reduces customer frustration at the checkout, inaccurate inventory reporting, and manual cashier entry of open items.

Order Assist Technology

If you would like to implement a strategy of inventory management that utilizes both CATAPULT auto-replenishment functionality and inventory scanning with a HHT, Order Assist™ is the answer. Store employees can walk the floor, scan an item, press the Order Assist button located on the hand held device and CATAPULT will build a suggested order based on pre-set parameters. This auto-reorder functionality is based on customizable re-order methods including: Min/Max, Replenishment, Maintain Constant Level, and DemandFill™ order forecasting. DemandFill™ combines LogicSync™ forecasting tools within CATAPULT and real-time sales data to suggest the most accurate order possible. DemandFill accounts for past sales, current sales, seasonality, trends, and current stock levels to determine your optimal order.
